Echoes of Distant Lights is a laser and light artwork specifically created in one of the spheres of the iconic Atomium in Brussels. The installation invites to a poetic and aesthetic reflection on light, space and time The original creation invites audiences on a visual and auditive journey to the heart of the cosmos, where laser light and sound come together in a unique immersive experience. Brussels artist Antoine Goldschmidt has combined his passion for light with the rich heritage of the Atomium to create a unique experience. In perfect harmony with the metal structure of the Atomium, his creation dialogues with the interior architecture of the monument. Underlining and playing with the edges of the sphere, it seems to come to life, transforming itself into a stellar capsule that takes visitors off into distant universes. Laser beams pass through a suspended glass sculpture, producing organic patterns inspired by celestial landscapes: nebulae, galaxies and distant stars. Light and movement guide visitors through a poetic exploration of time and the universe, where each beam seems to be an echo of vanished worlds. The installation is accompanied by an original soundtrack composed by Brussels artist and musician Ofer Smilansky.
